Warranty

This Warranty Policy applies to electric bicycles (“eBikes”) and related components purchased online or in-store within the United States from The eBike Shop Colorado (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms set forth below.

Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty

All eBikes sold by The eBike Shop Colorado are covered by a manufacturer’s limited warranty, which is provided directly by the original manufacturer of the product.

The manufacturer’s limited warranty generally warrants that the eBike and its original components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for the period specified by the manufacturer.

Warranty coverage, duration, conditions, and available remedies are determined solely by the manufacturer. Customers should refer to the specific manufacturer’s warranty documentation for complete details.

Scope of Coverage

Manufacturer warranties typically apply only to:

  • The original purchaser

  • The original eBike and components as supplied at the time of sale

  • Defects arising from normal consumer use

At the manufacturer’s discretion, warranty remedies may include repair, replacement of parts, or replacement of the product.

Typical Warranty Components (Non-Binding Reference)

While warranty terms vary by manufacturer and model, coverage commonly includes:

  • Structural components (such as the frame)

  • Electrical components (such as the motor, battery, controller, and display)

This section is provided for informational purposes only and does not create, expand, or modify any warranty obligations.

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

Manufacturer warranties generally do not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Consumable items, including tires, brake pads, chains, cables, and bearings

  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or improper storage

  • Unauthorized modifications or the use of non-approved parts or components

  • Improper assembly, maintenance, or repair

  • Commercial, rental, or competitive use unless expressly permitted by the manufacturer

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

  • Damage caused by environmental exposure beyond product specifications

Warranty Claim Requirements

To initiate a warranty claim, customers may be required to:

  • Provide valid proof of purchase

  • Submit photos, videos, or other documentation demonstrating the claimed defect

  • Follow manufacturer-directed troubleshooting, inspection, or diagnostic procedures

All warranty claims are reviewed and approved solely by the manufacturer.

  • Has been serviced or repaired by an unauthorized provider

  • Has sustained damage due to improper handling, transport, or storage

Limitation of Implied Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the term of the applicable manufacturer’s limited warranty.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties; in such cases, state law shall govern.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

Neither the manufacturer nor The eBike Shop Colorado shall be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the eBike.

Liability is limited to the remedies expressly provided under the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.
